Our Story
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
خَيْرُكُمْ مَّن تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ
“The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 5027
We all remember that day. The completion ceremony, the tears in our parents' eyes, the feeling that we had conquered a mountain. I was born and raised in the UK, and like many of you, I wore that title of ‘Haafidh’ with immense joy.
But then, the ceremony ended. The real world began.
I discovered a painful truth that we rarely speak about: the silence that follows the celebration. The circle of teachers and peers that held us up disappeared. The daily structure vanished. Suddenly, it was just me, the Dunya, and a memory that began to fade faster than I expected.
The Weight of the Amanah
We are engineers, doctors, teachers, Mothers and Fathers now. We spend our days in the noise of the world. I found myself hesitating to step forward for Salah because I wasn't sure if my revision was strong enough. I felt a secret guilt; a shame that I was losing the greatest gift Allah ever gave me.
When I finally spoke to other Huffad, I realised I wasn't alone. We were all fighting the same silent battle. We are called the Keepers of the Revelation, yet we were left to guard it in isolation. We were handed a certificate and told “Congratulations,” but we weren't given the tools to carry this weight for a lifetime.
Motivation comes in waves. I would revise intensely for a few weeks, fueled by guilt, only to burn out and drift away again. The Qur'an belongs in our hearts, but the world keeps trying to pull it out.
A Fortress for the Huffad
We are the backbone of this Ummah. Carrying the Words of Allah is not a “tickbox” exercise we finished as teenagers; it is a lifelong covenant. It is a fight. And you cannot fight a war alone.
This app was born from that need. It is the result of sleepless nights, deep reflection, and the Du'a of those who love the Qur'an. It is a digital sanctuary designed to move with you; whether you are on a commute, at a desk, or resting at home.
This is our service to Allah and to you. This app is, and will always be, completely free. We are not here to sell the Deen; we are here to preserve it.
For those who wish to support our server costs, donations are welcome. We operate with radical transparency, because before we answer to any auditor, we will answer to Allah ﷻ. (Breakdowns available via email upon request).
Your Journey Continues
This is not just an app. This is a brotherhood and sisterhood of the Qur'an. Allah ﷻ has opened a new door for us to reconnect with His Book. The path is clear, but the steps must be taken by you.
To every Hafidh reading this: Release the guilt. You are not alone in this struggle. Your Hifdh is not a relic of your past; it is the anchor of your future.
Let us polish the rust from our hearts. Let us stand together as the true we were meant to be. May Allah accept this effort from us, and may He raise us all as the People of the Qur'an on the Day where only His Light remains.
As Allah says:
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
Surah Ar-Ra'd 13:28
A Final Request
I ask of you one final kindness: please keep me, and those that made this app possible in your Du'as, and remember my parents, whose sacrifice and love made this path possible. And do not forget every other soul on this app, strangers to you, but siblings in spirit, who are waking up early and staying up late to guard this Book.
This journey is not easy. It demands willpower, courage, and a burning desire to never give up. But we no longer walk it alone.
Together. Meet. Recite. Improve.
بارك الله فيكم
May Allah bless you all
